# Publish to social networks

> Post or schedule media on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

Havincy Diffusion publishes media to the social accounts connected in the Havincy app. It requires a plan that includes Diffusion and a token with the **publish** permission.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect accounts in Havincy">
    Social accounts are connected from the Havincy app (Diffusion → Accounts), not through the API. List them with:

    ```bash theme={null}
    curl https://havincy.com/api/v1/social/accounts -H "Authorization: Bearer $HAVINCY_API_KEY"
    ```
  </Step>

  <Step title="Publish or schedule">
    ```bash theme={null}
    curl -X POST https://havincy.com/api/v1/social/publications \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer $HAVINCY_API_KEY" \
      -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
      -d '{
        "asset_ids": [5678],
        "caption": "Summer drop is live ☀️ #summer",
        "social_account_ids": [12, 15],
        "scheduled_at": "2026-11-02T09:00:00+01:00",
        "options": { "youtube_format": "short", "title": "Summer drop" }
      }'
    ```

    * One video, or up to 10 images as a carousel.
    * Omit `scheduled_at` to publish now.
    * Use `platforms: ["youtube"]` instead of `social_account_ids` to target the first connected account of a platform.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Track delivery">
    `GET /social/publications/{id}` returns the status per platform and the post URLs once published.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>Publishing posts publicly on your networks. In MCP, `publish_to_social` is marked as destructive so assistants ask for confirmation.</Warning>
